FoM/CanSerra is a grassroots organization that is working towards making a difference on education for orphans and less-privileged children in Sierra Leone/West Africa

Sierra Leone is a country on the West African Coast that has been through 11 years of civil war. The war officially ended in 2001 and the country is now rebuilding. The war left behind many orphaned, homeless and displaced children. Friends of Mabureh/CanSerra grassroots organization was founded in January 2009 to reach these challanges.

The Port Arthur Rotary Club of Thunder Bay, Ontario and Rotary International (RI) are the chief sponsors of the CanSerra Primary School building project. Because of the sponsorship of the above organization, Kissi Town now has a wonderful primary school building for  better learning.  www.canserra.org
